Hi everyone, I have been flying for about 2 weeks and I love it. However, I am not a pro and I am very ignorant with many features, if any, that the my Phantom 1 has or can do.

I read I can fly up to 500 meters, so my question is; what happens if i go over 500 meters? Will my Phantom simply stop going up, or will loose control of it and it will come down crashing?

I appreciate any help to this newbie.

Thanks.

Hey Miguel,
Welcome to the forum :D It is tons of fun isn't it? :)

Yes you can loose reception. Your Phantom can fly much farther than the controller will stay connected. You can also loose reception at very close distances. If you fly behind a building, and loose visual contact, the connection will possibly be broken.

The Phantom will go into "Failsafe" when your controller is no longer in contact with the Phantom. You can program the Phantom to either "Land" or "Go Home and Land" when this occurs. This programming is done from within the NAZA Assistant Software. Have you installed the software and connected your computer to the Phantom?

I have put together a few pages of helpful information at www.wynotweb.com
Maybe if you read some of my stuff, you won't make the same mistakes.

Stay close till you figure out how it all works. That's my advice.

Enjoy the show.
