Camera wifi not there without extender, normal?

Hello from a new PVer,

Without switching on the extender I do not get wifi from the camera. Switching it on brings it and I can connect. Is this normal behaviour anyone?

Yes its normal, The camera emits a hidden SSID thats why you don't see it.

Yep, what arinvideo said. The idea behind that is to stop you using just the camera SSID by mistake and losing signal when you get 100ft away... The range extender is so-called for good reason!
