Camera tilt settings and photo question

Hi all
Just wanted to know why when I'm flying does the camera always end up pointing down ? I noticed also if you hold the phantom and tilt it backwards and forwards it ends up pointing down.Also i sometimes get the props and lights in the pictures is this normal ? i thought maybe the camera was going up too high.What angle should the camera be at when the slider on the phone app is at the middle ?

You can adjust it to what suits you best. When all the way up you will get some props and lights in your shots, thats normal. It all depends what shots you want. When the camera is straight up and pointing at the horizon you will get a bit less fisheye distortion but you'll find if you are taking a pic of an object you will most likely be pointing the camera down a bit, it just depends on your angles
