Camera lag and range loss

Hi Folks,
I know this seems to be a common problem with the latest upgrade, but has anyone come up with a solution? When i start to fly the drone (first 5 - 10 mins) the camera feedback is perfect, then it starts to lag, and can have a 2-3 sec lag on it. Also the range seems to be a lot less. I have re-linked the RC, and that seemed to work for 1 flight. Can I downgrade the firm ware? Has anyone done it and did it fix the problem?
It's really annoying.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try unclipping the cables that attach to the gimbal. There are two. Remove and reinstall. Helped me - I had a random 7 second delay that made video capture almost impossible,

I've always wondered if just unplugging the cables, which is part of the process of what I did, would have solved it. So I suggest trying that first as happydays suggests.
