I created this thread for the P3P
Birdside Antenna Mod <this mod will clean up nice and save weight... (P3S)
I have a new thought for this MOD..
It is for the P3S...
The leg antennae on the P3S are 5.8 GHz..
The 2.4 GHz antenna are in the body..
The stock P4P Antennae are dual band 2.4 and 5.8 So they will work for both!
Something likes this
"Two for the 2.4ghz(one front one rear)and two for the 5.8 ghz...(one front one rear) " So you would be putting all antenna in the legs like the P3P..

Since the legs of the P4P wouldn't fit on the P3, your saying to buy these antenna as individual items and use zip ties?
Also are they dual band, or labeled as 2.4 and 5.8 GHz.

I wonder which is which? They are marked 1, 2, 3,and 4 but do not say 2.4 or 5.8.
Are you talking about the antenna parts for the P4 or P3?

I have the P3A antennas which I would guess would be the same as P3P?
Have the P3P landing gear coming. Didn't catch that he was talking about P4.
Two of the wires are shorter so they must got to gimble for 2.4.

The P3A and P3P only use 2.4 MHz, no dual band needed. Only the P4 uses both 2.4 and 5.8 MHz, and of course the Standard.

Not so true. If you leave the original 5.8 on the AC then you will use a short wire one and a long wire one. Because of the slots in the legs and the pins on the antennas wont match up.

I can not find the 5.8 GHZ that are in the bird of a P4P on the web so I'm not sure if I can change out the original on the P3S.

They are dual band? The P3s has four different antennae (easily ID'd ) the P3P are all the same..(2.4Ghz) numbered only for placement...

6 inches long. Where we going to put them. A little long for the legs right? But we are going to cut them apart so should be fine.

The entire thing is 6 inches long, with the rp-sma and all. The part that you would actually use is probably more like 4 and 3/4.
