Binding a P2v+ to a different transmitter

I have a P2v+ and a P2+. I would like to switch transmitters with each other. My new P2+ tx has gimble control but no camera on the Phantom. My P2v+ tx has an older controller with no such controls. I would like to take advantage of the camera control on the P2v+. Any advice would be appreciated.

turn on the bird, press hold the button underneath for a few secs, then turn on the remote

are they both 5.8 radios ?
