Best place to mount an RID (Remote ID) module on a Phantom 2?

New drone pilot here, I picked one up a DJI Phantom 2 P330Z about 2 days ago. I didn't learn until after I bought the drone that all drones are supposed to have Remote ID module installed. I am a complete noob and I want to do things "by the book" but I am concerned that if I mount the module I bought (Ruko R111) it would interfere with the receiver and potentially cause a flyaway since it runs at the same frequency as the controller (2.4GHz). I have heard that GoPro's with Wi-Fi enabled can caused flyway's which is why I am concerned with mounting the module.

To reduce the risk of a flyaway where would it be best to mount the module?

The Ruko R111 transmits a Bluetooth signal at 2.4GHz and should not interfere with the 2.4GHz WiFi signal used by the drone.

It is much like using both 2.4GHz WiFi and Bluetooth simultaneously on your phone.

I’m not sure where the GPS antenna is positioned in the Phantom 2, but when the RID modules first came out most Phantom users were mounting them to a leg instead of the top shell to avoid blocking reception by the GPS antenna.

If I’m remembering correctly the GPS antenna is mounted to the center inside of the top shell. You can test this by placing your hand over the center of the top shell after you’ve turned on the drone and it has connected to satellites. You should see the satellite count drop when your hand is over the center of the shell. You can buy a printed RID holder online that mounts to the leg of the drone.

The The Ruko R111, as @DoomMeister said, uses Bluetooth instead of wifi. Therefore, it won't interfere with your Wi-Fi signal. Mount it onto the legs.
