Battery

Hi I've just got my new phantom 3 se and was wondering if after market battery's are safe and worth using as they are nearly half the price ? Cheers

For reliability I would stick to OEM.

Do your research on the particular pack you have in mind before buying to make sure it will work with current DJI firmware and there are no significant issues with performance/reliability. From user experiences here some aftermarket batteries seem to perform as well as OEM. Bare in mind if you have a crash where the logs reveal a battery issue flying with a non OEM pack you MAY have warranty issues.

I've only ever had bad experiences with after market batteries. Much safer to pay the extra and get the real deal.

I have 2 aftermarket batteries and other than the LEDs being hard to see on a bright day, they work the same as OEM. They are PowerExtra brand.

I am also using the PE battery. I haven't had it long, but it's been fine so far. Looks identical to the official, branded unit that came with the P3. I doubt there's any difference.
