The battery will auto shut off before it reaches a damaging low level. At 8% critical battery low level the craft will auto land.. No matter where it is.

Never saw a Phantom 3 just shut down if the battery went below critical level.

I rarely ever run mine below 40%. I have 33 cycles on it, and it shows only 93%....

My battery has 33 cycles...and the self test shows 1 led green bar on the battery should I run it down to 8 percent?

I have 6 batts ,,,,181 charges 3952 mah still charges to 100%.164 charges 3877 mah 100% 58 charges 3984 mah 100% 47 charges 4041 mah 100% 30 charges 4149 mah 100% I use all these batts with batt mod I still get over 20/25 mins of fly time.i cycle batts down to 2%.when ever needed.

Silverwing, yes your batteries are charging to 100% of the capacity they are capable of, but they aren't at 100% of original capacity. Your best battery, at 4149 mah is only about 92% of 4480 mah original capacity.

How to kill a Lithium battery:
1) Deep discharge
2) Apply heat

1) Charge Fully (store) (puff up)
2) Charge Fully (apply heat) boom!
3) Discharge to 0% (store DJI battery) (dead cell)
