P4P+ purchased Dec 2016;
still using RC app 4.2.6;
only used single original battery;
never looked at "battery info" before
(# of volts per cell, etc.)
want to stay on top of that now that
original battery is swelling;
please advise how to do so;
links to tutorials appreciated!

all my flights are short & pretty
much straight up & down; has
anyone reported inflight battery
failure, knowing battery was swelled?
thanks in advance...

Both of my 300E remotes have what shows as current versions but different.
V1.2.0.0
V01.02.02.00
I had to update the one that now shows V01. It would not show phantom 4, in the advanced settings, which I wanted it to do. Now both remotes will fly all P4 models, V1.

When you get your new battery, just remember to set your discharge days. I set mine for three days or up to six if I’m flying often. You have to set this in your remote when it’s linked up to the drone. You can check on the health of your battery, number of charges, etc. I drain and recharge my batteries every three months if not used. Including the remote. Keep a record. Good luck

Just saw the new GO 4 update 4.3.24 without flight simulator. Keeping what I have.

Do not leave your batteries plugged in. Store in a cool location, never in a car, or you'll have another useless swelled battery.

Do not leave your batteries plugged in.

Mine constantly charging when not flying.
I'd heard advice NOT to do this,
but never any authoritative data
to support it. Even my now swelling
battery doesn't confirm advice because
I didn't have second battery being handled
the other way as comparison...

That explains the swollen battery. After full, it needs to be able to discharge back to 50%. Whether the charger is turned on or not, unplug it when done. Just remember to set those discharge days in the GO 4 app.

You might check YouTube for a tutorial on P4 battery Maintenance.
