P3A, how can one establish what firmware version is installed in the battery?
Can this be updated individually or only as part of the drone update?
Is it important to have specific firmware versions in all four components, ie, battery, drone, RC and App? Are some incompatible with each other?

Just a slightly confused 80yo o_O

Firmware identification on batteries doesn’t exist that I’ve ever seen.
Mismatch of firmware between rc and ac is not an issue that will keep you from flying. Firmware updates should be listed as “caution” in my opinion.

When updating the firmware on the drone, the battery in the drone is automatically updated (if a battery firmware update is available). You'll need to manually update the firmware on each additional spare battery. That can be done like this.

It's important to allow DJI GO to update the firmware on the current battery when you see a prompt to do so in DJI GO. For the drone and RC, update the firmware like this. While the app doesn't have firmware, it's usually best to run the current version.
