If you leave the .bin file on the SD card, yes you can do it that way. It will take a few minutes to update the battery before your ready to fly though.I have 3 batteries. If I upgrade firmware to 1.6 do I just install each battery as I fly and the battery will upgrade?

Yes. But, you cannot see the currently installed firmware version anywhere -- like in the About section of the DJI GO app.Wouldn't it show in the log file? [11 00]
