Assistant software problems,

Hello from the newbie.
I have installed drivers and assistant software without problem but the software does not respond to the Controller. I am trying to set up IOC,but as yet cannot get anywhere!

In meantime anyone have any tips on orientation ,it can be quite scary when the copter doesn't go where you want it to,and begins to drift!! Is for a newbie at least

Had a "return to home "situation today too ,I thought the MC was going to stay in the air until the battery died it took so long. Any tips appreciated.

what do you mean by "the software does not respond to the Controller" ?
Do you mean you can't see your Phantom connected with the Phantom Assistant software?
Are you running Windows? What version?

Once the bird is close enough (line of sight) flip S1 to ATTI and back to GPS.

RTH is painfully slow on return speeds horizontally and absolutely atrocious on descent speed (.5 meters per second)

By cancelling the RTH you can increase speed horizontally and descent can be increased to 2 meters a second.

Most users cancel the RTH once they have established line of sight or their FPV is back in range.
