New to the drone flying. My phone screen is too small. Looking for an iPad mini4 as that is what was recommended. My question- what is the recommended storage (32...64???) and should it have wifi AND cellular or is just wifi ok? Most of the places I fly are remote with no wifi access. Does that matter? Sorry, know it sounds simple, just want to be sure I get the right one but I don't want to get more than what I need.

Personally I think you should go for the 32 gig with wifi & cellular.

May as well have all your bases covered....

You can even get away with the 16 gig if just for flying. I don't keep much content stored on my iPad mini 4 so 32 gig is plenty for me. Just figured I'd give myself some wiggle room for future uncertainties.

I think it's the perfect combo...Not to big/heavy

I would highly suggest getting an anti-glare screen protector as well.

Without data you can't get your map to render. You also can't stream lice if thats something you want to do. However, if you have a phone with a mobile hotspot, you can connect to that to remedy those issues.

I got the iPad Mini 4 cellular with smallest memory since it is only used for internet surfing and drone flying. The main reason I went with the cellular version over the wifi version is because it has a GPS chip in it. It works even if you don't have a cellular service like me. Even if you are out in the boonies, your device will have good location positioning.

My only problem with my Mini 4 is that it malfunctions when it gets at about 100 degrees, which happens a lot here in Texas.
