I'm curious if anyone has ever flown in rain before. I know it isn't worth the risk because of safety and possibly destroying a 1200 dollar item but someone out there has to be silly enough to try it once, right?
Since it will come home pretty wet from fog, or flying through any sort of cloud, a bit of damp won't hurt it - like a few spots falling.
The motors won't be much bothered but if moisture gets in through vents, and collects on internal circuitry well anything could happen really.
I lost a P2V+ when a short shower hit as I was bringing it in.
Almost had it - got it to 10 metres away but had to stop to wipe my glasses - that was the last I saw of it.
Most definitely know the area you're flying in and the current weather I would never fly when it was even looking like rain or the skies were kind of gray because you never know when it could come
I wouldn't risk it either but in Wales rain can appear from nowhere - maybe some coating on the circuits would help there are sprays available that will insulate and protect the electronics.
