I've pulled up the info on AirNav.com on a nearby US Army airfield that is usually Class D airspace. Its operating hours apparently are Mon-Fri, 0700-1545 local time, but I am trying to figure out if the airspace changes when the field is not in operations. I saw this with regards to the Control Tower, but I'm not sure if this indicates what I think it does.
"REDSTONE TOWER: 126.95 290.275 [OPR 1345-2130Z++ MON-FRI EXC HOLS; OT CLASS G.]"
Does this mean that when the tower is not in operation, that the airspace is Class G? Obviously, I'm not going to go flying over the base itself (most of it is a restricted area), but the radius of the Class D space does reach out into the city a few miles.
