I will not be held responsible for any error's made by the end user if they decide to do this mod. there is a good chance that this voids the warranty. I am also not an expert, just a guy in a shed trying to be cool

why did I do this?

gimbal control
I can adjust gains during flight
massive increase in range
Return to home on a switch
built in timers
I can use 1 TX for all my RC's
looks cool :)

Here is part 1, installing the RX inside the phantom:

Here is part 2, Configuring the T8J:

Here is part 3, using the Phantom/Naza Assistant:

Here is a demo showing the RTH working with these settings:

I hope this helps some of you guys that want to use a new TX. Enjoy!

thanks mate,

just be cautious when testing the phantom with these settings. today I was out and switched to model 1 on my TX ( I have 3 phantom models set) and when I used IOC everything went wrong and forwards was backwards. I hope this was just me selecting the wrong model in my TX and not a problem with my set up. I cant test again until tomorrow now.

so just be careful guys. Im no expert

So for gimbal control:

do you still have the servos connected to the Naza or are they now connected to the Futaba receiver? If connected to the Naza do you still have control of the gimbal? If connected to the Futaba I assume that you no longer have the stabilizing feature offered by the Naza to the gimbal servos. Just trying to wrap my head around this before doing a radio upgrade myself. Thanks again for all your help and videos they're greatly appreciated!
