12" iPad Pro as a monitor

Saw a pilot the other day using a 12" iPad Pro as his flight monitor for his bird. Naturally, it did not fit on his remote monitor holder, but he was as using it outboard on a table.
Is that overkill or very cool?
It sure looked good and has disturbed my complacency.

It’s a trivial exercise to mount the controller bracket to accomodate the big pro. Additional weight and wind loading are the only considerations.

Yes- if you could call it that- bent up a piece of coat hanger wire.

I also have the iPad Pro 10.5 as my monitor and it's great. It's tight on the controller but fits without any expansion rig. I used to have reception issues (green screen) with an older iPad but much less so now.

I use an iPad Pro 12”and it’s been working great, most of the time I do not mount it on the RC but I have done it before without any issues using those home depot rubber coated ties as an extension.

I use a 12.9” Ipad and it is great. I bought an adapter for my controller and it fits great. Much better with a larger viewing area.

Don’t have a Home Depot around but donhave plenty of coat hangers- works a treat...
