Zenmuse H3-2D

Ive been flying my new phantom 2 without the gimbal but recently bought the zenmuse h3-2d and is being delivered tomorrow. Is there anything i need to do after attaching the gimbal to the phantom before flying? anything on the assistant software?
also does the gimbal use much of the phantoms battery, doesnt it charge the gopro aswell??

You will probably need to go into the Assistant software and calibrate the gimbal tilt. The gimbal battery useage is neglegable and if you're worried about the GoPro sucking the power, just charge the GoPro to full before the flight.
