I've tried several times. In "no wind conditions" everything calibrated and GPS good, if I fly the copter in a straight line away from me, it always flies to the left. If I fly it straight back, it continues to my left.

My phantom 2 was very easy to move in a straight line. This makes filming a little tricky when I'm trying to fly straight up a driveway for example.

Thoughts? Much appreciated.

I also had this exact same issue until I did an IMU calibration and a RC Controller Stick calibration. That fixed it.

Could be for sure...
Basically, if not calibrated or 'zeroed', you'll have a slight input to the control system when the stick is at center. This creates a bias or error when flying as it is always adding to your intended control input(s).
