Here's a Light Painting I did with my old Phantom 3 Standard last night. I wanted to do a couple more but it was cold (-2ºC) and there was a brisk wind coming off the lake making it feel like -7ºC, so decided to call it a night because my fingers were getting cold.

Absolutely awesome!

Thanks!

Here's a couple of Christmas themed light paintings. The head of the reindeer didn't turn out that well probably because it's getting close to the limit of what a P3S is capable of in terms of light painting. It was a calm but cool night (-6ºC).

Thanks. My P3S is a great drone for doing light painting. It has powerful motors that are capable of carrying two cube lights. I just wish that the hovering accuracy was better.

Chris
I have two P3S's myself. One is pure stock, and the other set up for distance flights, BVLOS, etc.

Not that brave to fly at night,....plus over water. Yours are bigger than mine bud. 😜👍👍

In terms of photos and videos, my P3S has long been replaced by my newer camera drones. Light painting does not use the camera on the drone at all so my old P3S is perfect for that purpose. It keeps the drone in use rather than sitting in its case for years due to lack of use. It is now 8 years old and works just as well as it did when I first got it.

Here's a recent light painting done on my old P3S.

Thanks.
Since the P3S is not as accurate as modern drones the simpler paintings like the skater work better, but it’s always worth a challenge to see how it will do in more complex ones like the Ski-Doo logo.

Here is the last of my winter themed Light Paintings for this past winter. I'm moving on to more seasonally appropriate missions. As with the other paintings both of these were done using my old Phantom 3 Standard, Litchi software. @DJ Wes Mission utilities were used to prepare the Litchi waypoint missions for Light Painting (SVG to Litchi Converter, Removing Close Waypoints, and Litchi Mission Rotator). It's hard to believe that there is ice still on the area lake where these missions were shot and still snow in the bush at this point mid way through April.
