wifi extender

I have a P2 Vision with a gimbal and camera and wifi extender. The Tx and RX are 5.8ghz. I have a FC40 with just a camera. The Tx and Rx are also 5.8ghz. I know on the Vision the wifi works off of 2.4ghz for operation of the camera.
Does the FC40 camera work off of 2.4ghz? And if it does can I use a wifi extender as well?
What about sticking the newer 700 extender? Will it just hook up or is there a change in hardware on the FC40?

Yes, FC40 camera works over 2.4GHz.
Vision + wifi extenders are not compatible with FC40 camera.

The thread is a bit old. It's good in terms of how to extend, but there are many better extenders out there - now that MIMO technology has expanded. It all depends on how far you want to go. Then the limitation will be on the control signal at some point.

That is what we are doing by modifying the extender with a directional 7-10dBi antenna
