Possible fix

Hey folks messing around with a P3s I purchased not working. I knew the two wifi cables were bad that attach to the gimbal. I removed them and desoldered were they attach to the antenna itself. It appears to me a person can take an inexpensive Rp-SMA to u.fl cable . $7.00 a pair on Amazon.and resolder the middle cable and the shielded wire to the copper backing and be back in business. Just a thought, Any ideas?

BTW the antenna will not work if you just solder them back onto the plug ins on the gimbal. As you can see they are actually a shielded cable. The shielding itself is th part that gets soldered to the copper plate with the white paint on it. These antennas are not very expensive from Amazon, but I thought it would be fun just to see if I could repair them. The wire that runs down the middle gets soldered to the post sticking up in the middle. I plan on putting white R T V silicone like the one one the left. R T V needs to be used because it is non corrosive and can be used on electronics.
