For DJI GO 3? The iPad Mini 2/3 or 4. For DJI GO 4? The iPad Mini 4 or 5.

If you have no budget, go with the iPad Mini 5. It's currently the fastest and brightest model available.

iPad mini 4 works perfectly with djiGO4. Also buy a shade hood to make view better in bright sun. According to the dji website, the iPad mini5 is NOT compatible. So be careful here.

I used to use a iPad mini 2 and it worked well with DJI Go. Where the problems started was, I used it for other stuff too. It got to where there were too many apps running in the background so the live video feed wouldn’t keep up. Also the screen wasn’t bright enough. My opinion, get one that is dedicated to your flying, turn off any unnecessary apps and automatic updates and has the most RAM you can afford to get.

I wouldn't worry about that. DJI rarely adds new mobile devices to their list of supported devices. The iPad Mini 5 is a mobile device that's known to work well.

I use the standard ipad, work fine and just fits into the DJI holder.
