Had I complied with the policeman's orders and my drone distracted a driver leading to the death of the driver or a pedestrian, I'd have paid a higher price ... a situation I would not have wanted to live with.
You obviously haven't been able to convince anyone else of that, including the judge who convicted you of disurbing the peace. If your drone was being flown where letting off the sticks could have distracted a driver during rush hour, leading to death of such driver or a pedestrian, you were already clearly flying recklessly, and the cop was well advised to tell you to take your hands off the controls! You aren't making a whole lot of sense. Autonomous missions, by definition, complete without any user control, so your autonomous mission must have been reckless. If you thought you needed to disobey the LEO to save lives, you should never have been flying the mision in the first place!
