Flew the other day in 15 - 20's. Did okay, held position well. Rather bumpy at times and got interesting coming in for landing in the burble of a big tree. Downwind speed run was cool....and fast!! What's your highest flight winds??

Maybe 10-12. I think I might have to venture out into higher speeds, though. It's been unusually windy for the last 3 weeks or so with no end in sight. I want to practice ATTI mode, but I guess I'll have to wait; not going to do that in 15+mph winds.

Try atti mode in the wind. It's cool! Just be ready for it, so you can fly it. You realize how good the GPS is at holding. Try to do it just as good as in p mode. You can't. Bring it to you and try to hover in front of you. You can always switch back to p mode immediately and it hovers instantly.

Highest winds I ever flew in were probably around 25-45 MPH sustained gusts. It was right around this time of year when you get crazy weather.

I usually always fly in GPS mode so I remember seeing my P3P being pushed off it's stationary hover point by a big wind gust --- then watching it slowly return to the original location once the gust subsided. But I do remember being scared because you never really know how big a gust will come along and how long it will last --- so it's possible a long, sustained wind gust could push your Phantom hundreds of yards away and you get this icky feeling like you might never see it again !! You just hope and pray you get a lull in the winds and RTH works as it should.

Basically, I've become very conservative with flying my P3P and never fly it when gusts are above 25 MPH.
