very soon i'm getting myself a pair of Fatshark FPV googles, but also like the idea of setting up a small computer monitor on a tripod so others can watch. I've already got a Black Pearl monitor which i could just tap off, but would prefer to use a stand-alone receiver for the monitor instead. Would this work as i'd want or any other suggestions, would prefer a UK supplier if possible http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/new-5-8G-FPV- ... 20da809f6f (my Phantom appears to be using 5840hz)

just found out about the ImmersionRC UNO, makes sense to go for that as i'm using an ImmersionRC transmitter

I've had a great experience with the ImmersionRC Uno, feeding a separate Marshall field monitor. The Uno has two outputs (both VGA), and I power both the Rx and the monitor split from a single Canon LP-E6 battery plate on the back of the Marshall.

thanks, defo seems the way to go then. I've got someone who has got an 12volt computer monitor so will power them both off the car or a small car battery
