Hi, i'm going to build an RC plane, and for it, i'll buy the Turningy 9xr radio, it is without tx module, so i have the opportunity to buy the tx and rx modules compatible with the phantom, i'd like to do that because the 9xr has a good knob, very useful for camera control instead of the 7th channel on the dji radio...
so the question is, what is the best receiver for the phantom?
does this mod reduce or increment the possibility of flyaway?

Bencio, since you're already going with the 9XR, I would highly recommend looking at the FrSky line of Tx/Rx modules. I use them with my original Turnigy 9X and they work just fine with the 9XR as well. In addition to great range, they have a lot of expandability and give you the ability to add telemetry independent of what an OSD would display.

For the Tx, check out their XJT model, which will give you 8-16 channels to use, or the DJT that will give you 8.

For the RX, you should pair the X8R with either of those transmitters.
