Water proof Phantom?

I am skeptical -- the motors are not water proof even it you could isolate everything else. :D
 
This video is from 2013 and the process is no longer offered. There never was any guarantee. Liquipel may slow down damage from fresh water and allow the Phantom to survive a dunking, but salt water would still likely cause long term damage. Best to never let it sink. If you crash in water, you may never find it anyway.

Actually, brushless motors are not really bothered by water since there are no exposed brushes or commutators. Bearings might rust over time.
