Hi,

I am flying to Thessaloniki in May with British Airways and want to take my P2 with me.

Has anyone recently recently done this with BA? I would want to take the P2 as hold luggage (in a backpack) but have no idea what to do with the batteries - fully charged, half charged, no charge, lipo bags etc? Take them as carry on or put them in the hold?

Also, any restrictions when I get to Greece?

Thank you.

Thanks - saw that. Would like to see something drone specific.

I wouldn't worry if the advice was drone specific Dan. The important thing is the LiPo. No matter what the airline or where you are in the world, LiPo batteries can only be taken in the cabin and never in the hold. What does vary from airline to airline is the number of batteries that you are allowed. As far as your Phantom goes, obviously the choice is yours but knowing how roughly baggage can be handled I'm not sure I would trust mine in the hold.

I would definitely not check any luggage containing a Phantom and I would get at least $5K in travel insurance for it.
