I'm looking for a cheap DJI-official P3 battery, stone dead, that I can mangle to create as much documentation on as possible. Ideally, the smart circuitry will still be functional, but I'd like anything at this point that will be recognized as an official DJI battery and which can still provide feedback to the DJI Go app.
These batteries will likely be manufactured for some years to come, but they will also become limited. I'd like to produce raw technical information about the smart circuitry within the boundaries of this forum's policies (which don't appear to apply restrictions to hardware evaluation and research in as much as firmware/software modification).
The prices I'm seeing for unusable batteries online is fairly prohibitive for this sort of project. It's also not clear what's genuine or not as many sellers are not the original owners.
