So I am having issues with the video from my phantom 3 standard being "shimmery". I shot the video at 30 fps and tried converting it 24 fps but that did not seem to help. I shot the video on automatic camera settings. I am including a link to the video. Has anyone else had similar issues before?

That's a gimbal issue (wobble).

-Check the 4 white damping rubbers.

-Check if the 3 axis of the gimbal rotate freely, without any friction (use a camera lens air blower to clean).

-Calibrate the gimbal.

Agree with checking the vibration isolators, but only TWO should be in place in opposite corners. Having all 4 in place will create the vibration, or wobble, you speak of. Also, check your props for damage that would create an imbalance. There are a few tricks on balancing and truing props out there.

That's incorrect.
Only 2 on opposite corners have security pins installed.
All 4 corners have a rubber damper installed.

"Having all 4 in place will create the vibration, or wobble, you speak of"
Also incorrect, ALL phantoms (3 & 4 series) came with 4 dampers installed.

Yep. I stand corrected. I guess I should have mentioned the drop pins as being in opposite corners. You win a cookie.

So I figured out the problem. In addition to installing the rubber shocks on the gimbal mount incorrectly I used four safety pins rather than just two on opposite corners. Now the video quality looks great! Thank you all so much for your help.

Good to hear. And, you're not alone using 4 drop pins instead of 2. I made the same mistake and had the same issue.

Blue Skies and Calm Winds.........👍
