Video Editing

I'm looking for a very simple video editing program that removes unwanted footage from a P3 video shoot. I'm not looking to enhance the footage, but simply removing bad footage. I want to take 2-3 eight minute videos and combine them into maybe one 4 minute video with very simple transitions..
