Video button greyed out

Every now and then the on screen video record button goes to a faded look and I can't end the video recording. Sometimes bringing the drone closer and/or landing fixes it, and it usually just goes away eventually. Once I've had to turn the drone off and on. Anyone else have this experience? And, no, somehow it didn't occur to me to try the physical buttons on the RC. I will try those next time, I just get distracted by that shiny screen.
