V1.8x or v1.9x

For various reasons, I have to upgrade my p3p to v1.8x or v1.9x for the aircraft. the other versions are: app 3.0 and rc 1.6. I'm interested in stability, not features. I've scanned the other threads in this area but get conflicting views so a summary would be great. I'd appreciate any thoughts. Thanks
