Using Osmo Mobile with Lightning microphone

Hi,

I just received my Osmo Mobile and realized that I can only mount the phone (iPhone 6s) in one direction, because otherwise the camera's view is blocked by the Gimbal. That way however, the Lightning port is blocked, which prevents me from using my Shure MV88 microphone when recording videos.

Does anyone have a similar problem, and possibly a solution? Or does anyone else record audio independently anyway?

I have an iPhone 6 and wanted, like you, to improve the sound quality of my videos when using my Osmo Mobile. I found an audio-technica ATR3350iS Lavalier Microphone which plugs into the ear bud port of the phone. Works perfectly with my Osmo Mobile.
