Hi everyone! So I've been having this problem with Litchi waypoints for awhile and I can't figure out why. It will take a moment to explain so bare with me.

So I was trying to fly this mission tonight and my drone wouldn't take off. Mission Hub - Litchi

I don't do traditional missions as I lightpaint with my drone in the sky.

Normally I can plot out a mission and after I upload it to my phone it will tell me if 2 points are too close together. If they are too close then it says which ones and I fix them and repeat the process until it says it can't get a GPS lock so I know then that all waypoints are far enough apart and it SHOULD fly. I have done this multiple times before with no issue.

Problem is I go out to fly it and it says it can't fly the mission because the waypoints are too close together when I know they aren't as they are all over .5 meters or 1.6 feet.

Hi,
I once had a similar issue where my 1st and last waypoints had exactly the same GPS co-ordinates.
There was no warning about it, it just refused to upload the mission.
When I changed the co-ordinatesof my last waypoint by a few digits then the problem was resolved.
Not sure whether or not this was just a one-off coincidence as I've not tested it out since but I thought I'd mention it because I noticed, for example, that your waypoint 23 has exactly the same co-ordinates as waypoint 35

As mentioned you have multiple co-ordinance errors in the flight plan. Below are a few but not all. There are more than these.

Waypoint 23
38.830524, -104.802025
WAYPOINT 35
38.830524, -104.802025

WAYPOINT 36
38.830377, -104.802048
WAYPOINT 51
38.830377, -104.802048

WAYPOINT 52
38.830581 , -104.802424
WAYPOINT 62
38.830581 , -104.802424

WAYPOINT 65
38.830451,-104.802554
WAYPOINT 71
38.830451, -104.802554

I can definitely give it a shot

Ok so I went and tested it out and made a new path doing it the same way I would (I think I ended it on the same point) and it flew just fine.

Mission Hub - Litchi

I did another test on this older one and had no issues.

Mission Hub - Litchi

Thoughts?

Did some more tests. I don't think it's a waypoints being on top of each other that are non-sequential. Reason being is I ran a test where I made a square and started and ended on the same points and had no problem.

What IS weird is that the closest way points in this path is 5ft and DOESN'T fly.

Mission Hub - Litchi

And the closest way points in this path are 3ft and DOES fly.

Mission Hub - Litchi

In both of these the starting and end waypoints merge.

It's starting to look like your intentions for Litchi are not really the gist of a waypoint app, but rather a mapping exercise. Have you looked at DroneDeploy or other mapping UAV software?

Also, and not an ambassador, though I was in the beta program, this vertical tasking would be easily accomplished using the DroneHarmony app methinks.

I haven't looked into other mapping software but I will now! I'm curious to see how much farther I can push it.

And I haven't heard of DroneHarmony before.

I did end up just making the picture bigger which fixed the issue but it shouldn't have been to begin with.
