It looks to just be the lens, although we haven't been able to get it off yet.

I think we've been so lucky to get it back. Lots of fliers and some social media must have done it.

Pop a surgical or rubber glove on and really gently grip the filter ring and turn anti-clockwise.

Yep, don't squeeze it at all or you'll never get it off. If it won't budge, try wrapping a thick rubber band around it and using the excess as a lever, if you know what I mean. The important thing is not to put any inwards pressure on the lens, all perpendicular pressure.

You can get an original ring with an ND filter fitted, from here... The original UV filter is a tenner more.

No, the one that comes as standard is the UV filter. I'd get the ND though, as it'll improve the contrast and definition. And it's a tenner cheaper...
