Went to use the P3S on a job and everything connected except the app itself. Kept saying could be wrong password but I was signed in...

Any suggestions?

Mark, try signing out and closing the app. Then open and sign in again. If that doesn’t work, try deleting the app and installing again. I fired mine up this morning after a few months and all seemed to be ok. Good luck bud!

I don't think you need to be signed in to get the app to work. Not everyone has internet in the field.

Sounds like it could it be the password on the drone.

only password on any of this other then app sign in or DJI site is the wifi password 12341234

Oh! I thought there was a different one...

That's the thing. It won't connect to the phone which is why it won't connect to the app I presume. New phone, Nokia 6. The X-Star has no issues connecting.

the drone should be connecting to the phone via wifi and even if the app isn't open the app connects to it all so you can see what's going on. so the password its asking for is that under your wifi ? try powering up the RC then the AC go into your phone under the wifi connection and click on the Phantom XXXXXX it should connect up or ask for a password let me know how that goes then we will go from there brother

The phone actually connects to the RC but shows up on your phone as Phantom. Try connecting to that wi-fi signal and it will ask for the password. That's where the 12341234 comes in. Unless you changed it!

I've not changed it and it won't accept it either.

Have you tried to retest the WiFi password?

Are you seeing the SSID from the Phantom on your Mobile device?

Opps, reset the password on the remote to default.

Not sure but you do know you don't need the app running to connect the mobile to the remote. I think any tablet / laptop should connect to the Phantoms WiFi, I have never tried a computer will try tonight.

No. The phone will not connect to anything. Nokia 6 running android 7.1.1 Nougat. Come to think of it...when I got this new phone is when the issue began. Because I was flying it on my [much] cheaper BLU phone running 6.0 Marshmallow. Hmmmm...

Anyone with Android 7.1.1 that can confirm it is compatible?

There was a thread just recently about a guy who could not connect to the P3S WiFi from his new phone, and the problem was... well, you guessed it: his new phone.
I personally would:
- reset the WiFi SSID and password, as explained in the manual.
- check if the phone can see and connect to the new WiFi network
- if it can connect, then open DJI GO and hopefully the app will work too
- if it cannot connect, then try with another device, so we can confirm that the problem is really the new phone

all mine are on 7.0 but nephews is running 7.1 and I know he's working fine was just flying with him over the weekend I believe litche is having a few issues on that version but I've not seen anything on DJI go having issues yet. doesn't mean there aren't problems though especially from one device to another you know anyone you can dump the app onto to check and see family friend with an older version ?
