Straight up and straight down.

when I pushed the left stick to the left the motors started screaming

Tough luck man -- I am no expert with these birds - however if you heard a "screaming" sound, that to me, says "ESC" issue that stopped the motors.

already on ity's way to DJI.
let them figure it out.
You didn't send your smart device (Android or iPad) to DJI, right? The flight data is in your device, within the GO app. You don't need the craft or RC to obtain the flight data .txt. It would be good to see what was recorded, and compare that to what DJI tells you. It could be the difference of PILOT ERROR costing you hundreds, or FREE WARRANTY REPAIR.

DJI wanted to charge me once for a warranty claim, but I argued the point and they repaired it for free, actually they replaced the drone.

Are you sure accidentally you didn't click both left knob to bottom-left and right knob to bottom-right? That has the potential to force shut off engine mid flight!

how do I go about doing this?

went out to fly my p4p today.
started the motors and got to about 10 feet than I stoped to check everything out and all looked ok.
went up to about 200 and stoped.
tried to rotate in a 360 degree circle when I pushed the left stick to the left the motors started screaming and I lost my video feed on my screen than the drone came straight down and slamed into the concrete runway.
thought I could see something on the video card but nothing is there.
I know the camera was recording when I took off but when I down loaded it to my computer there was no new video.

You said runway... Were you flying at an airport?

Maybe? Every day we examine flight data from the .txt file stored in the app.
To do it ....
Go to DJI Flight Log Viewer
Follow the instructions to upload your flight record.
Come back and post a link to the report it provides.
where do I find this?
I just went into the dji go 4 app and there was nothing that said.
i
