soon to be first time flyer. general easy to answer question.

I hear a lot of talk about flying only in line of sight. obviously this is the safest way to fly but what are the limits to not being in direct view before the remote loses it.

will be able to fly it from my house, land a few blocks down and still have a good single? or do a couple houses block it completely?

It's not a good idea to allow any objects to block the signal from your remote controller to your Phantom. A temporary blockage (like a tree branch) is usually fine, but a building would cause your Phantom to return home. Using ground station is the only way to really fly without a signal.
