Solder iOSD Mini directly to internal canbus?

I may be hallucinating, but I could swear I saw a post where someone had put the iOSD Mini inside the P2, (removed the plastic case and cut off the canbus connector), and then soldered the iOSD wires directly to the small internal connector for the canbus port...Anyone know where I may have seen this?

I have been searching and can't find it!

That video keeps all the heavy wiring and CAN bus terminal which weigh 3 times as much as the iOSD itself and none of which is needed. If you're going through the effort of sticking it inside the shell, solder the wires directly, ditch the CAN bus terminal and save some weight.
