Is there any tricks to putting skins on besides making sure your drone is really clean ?.I just ordered a skin from Decalgirl after days of looking at all of them on the website.

Rubbing alcohol as a cleaner of the aircraft before application is your friend.

That's great, alcohol will get rid of all oils and smudges. Thanks

The best trick especially for compound curved surfaces is to use a wetting agent (few drops of dish soap in quart of water -Google it).
Then you can slide the decal around into perfect position and squeegee out the water with a credit card or similar device.

I have done that with regular decals but will this also work with Decalgirl's skins ?.

If they are adhesive vinyl, yes.
I don't own them or ever put any skin on mine but I doubt there's any difference.
Why not ask (her)?

I looked at the videos but when I get it and look at it i'll probably do a chat with a few ?'s.

I've used decalgirl for skins in the past. Expensive, but high quality. Mine have lasted (on inside electronics) for 6+ years.
And yes, a very light coat of one drop dish soap/quart of water will work.

Do the skins help with visibility at all? I realize it depends on what you choose, but since the skin is on top it would not be visible unless it was on the ground or in a bush.
