Return Home button sinking into transmitter

same issue here; Just bought the phantom and came with the button broken. How long did your replacement take?

I know this is an old thread but i wanted to post my fix to the issue. Glue or longer screws wouldn’t be the answer for me. I found the RTH button was loose after taking it out of the case. I thought that was the only issue but after opening it up I found every screw mount was broke and everything needed attention.

Here’s the pieces that were broken loose.


I used three drill bits and went from the inside out on each hole and then the outside in for the next two bits. Each bit was slightly larger than the next. I then ran metric screws in and used the mount holes on the controls to work as the nut.




I’m happy with the finished product.

I had the problem with a second hand unit I had bought. It had slipped in and two or three millimetres. So I simply ran a little super glue around the edge, and left it facedown all night. Works absolutely fine now.
