Just wondering how much loss in quality is it if you download the videos/photos from the app instead of transferring from the memory card.

App will have only 720p whereas card can have up to 4k resolution. App can also lose frames due to transmission/ receiving issues.

You should go for the highest resolution that your mac/ PC can process and view as you can always downgrade to 1080p, 30fps. I usually go for 4K, 30fps.
