Removing Drone Shadows from video.

Just curious if anyone has experience removing the shadows that show up in your video. I have seen a few tutorials on how to do it in After Effects but it seems way over complicated. Besides making sure you don't have a shadow in the first place is there an easy way to do this?

I've seen several tutorials, but they all use After Effects to do it, and yes it is pretty complicated :/
