Reduced range in the UK

Did you have a look at the video's?
Especially the 2nd, 3rd and 4th one?
They mention UK too.

Don't be naive.... UK will not follow Europe law from BREXIT. UK may have restriction but will not be as bad as EU going to apply.

Is there an ulterior motive here, like certain companies with a lot of influence want the airspace between 100ft and 400ft to deliver parcels in. There are trials being conducted in the UK right now. I would be AMAZOD if they want us amateurs getting in their way with our little toys. Its happened before with radio frequencies.

That's a very good point. They think far ahead like that and will stamp down their foundations in advance.

I just looked through the technical data (it's an agency wish list only, none of it in law, YET , Civil drones (Unmanned aircraft) | EASA look it up and read it) and cant see much about ressignment of power levels other than seriously limiting flight ranges and altitudes a lot more, Basically if implemented it would kill P3P enjoyment and use etc etc. Re delivering parcels, any kid in any neighbourhood anywhere is going to add CATAPULTS to their extreme sports shopping list and have fun with their buddies. I seriously cannot imagine using drones to deliver parcels and yet again there is a significant terrorist angle to it. No security agency anywhere will open up the skies to an unmanageable quantity of "things with boxes under them" flying around ffsake. Also (again difficult to implement, readily hackable and spoofable) they want to incorporate some radio-based interrogate-able track user-ID system in every drone. Drones were once a fantasy, now a reality, if these goons get at the marketplace - same rules apply. Put the P3P or P4 in a cupboard and don't update it or fly it live on the 'net...period.

Hmmm thinking of this.. I should go over to the UK and buy a Mavic (or whatever except a car) over there!
It's so cheap for us at the moment with the badly devaluated sterling :)

Exactly which will certainly attract exports! [emoji39]

British indeed has a history of empire founded on slavery and robbing other countries of natural resources and then leaving them in a mess. Also I would not say that Britain by itself won either of the wars. Hence it sure either argument would be a basis of saying that you can run your own country.

yes indeed, the Old Empire tries to strike back, (I lived in India for 10 years) Displayed in Realstings post enshrined for all to see is the pathetic anachronistic mentality that caused Brexit to happen, when he cannot afford to fill his tank or buy cheap food or jobs become scarce and imported drones become expensive, he will certainly feel stung. I agree with your sentiment I am English with ancestors that sunk Spanish and French warships, my company uses specialised parts from Germany now to supply the UK armed forces with essential equipment, all of which will see a huge increase in costs - none of which can be made in the UK due to its highly sceintific nature. People like those Brexiteers know nothing of modern commerce, have no financial responsibilities and play with drones because they have nothing else to play with or use it for stirring their tea..

Is this a critic on my post?

If so not sure you quite got it.

not at all, I agree with it on both counts as I live in asia most of the time and can see especially in India what the colonisation of that country by The Brits has done. We also were supported in world wars. How they (The Brexiteers) can invent a film-based scenario / backdrop of Empire and Winning wars is beyond me, I'm 65 and retiring this year. The young were never allowed a full say in the Brexit vote - Brexit = FTLOT

I'm EU citizen, having lived in the UK since 1998, been to university here, working in the NHS full time. Not at all surprised by the lack of insight in the Brexit camp, and support totally your comment on the reliance on the rest of the world including EU to do all the manufacturing and supporting all basic services which U.K needs.

Correct

So even if I brought a Mavic in the US once the drone is in EU it will know this via GPS and automatically adjust a CE 4km range setting? so all in all this is a software restriction and not hardware? and once back in the US or out of the EU the drone will regain the FCC 7km settings for range?

thanks on a final note from a saddended country that lost its King, many of my friends work in the NHS and are besides themselves with grief over the vote, what more can I say except thanks to all the hard working NHS staff from all over the world that now have to suffer. It's time the Brexiteers had colonoscopy as there appears to be a blockage:)

Perhaps a necessary treatment after the frontal lobotomy was performed.

Good job we in the U.K. voted for Brexit then eh? EU rules won't apply to us when article 50 is triggered.....
Yeah but cant u see it going worse for us in the future when these drones really get popular. And every kid on a corner has one. They will restrict it deffo
