so flew tonight for the 1st time in weeks, and after take off I received the error message

“ your flight distance and height is limited to 30m and 50m respectfully. Please try again after restarting. Do not fly beyond this range”

Well what a strange error.

1. It didn’t affect my distance not height

2. If my height and distance are limited! Why is It’s telling do not fly further than this. If they were limited I wouldn’t be able to fly past them would I lol.

It sounds like you're running a newer version of DJI GO with an old version of the firmware. If you update everything, that message should stop appearing.

That is exactly what I am doing sir. How did you know.

I haven’t updated firmware yet because of all the shenanigans sorrounding it. Should I update ?

You either need to ignore that message or update the firmware to make it go away. I updated my firmware and haven't had any trouble with it yet. It's up to you whether or not you update your firmware.

Msinger can I ask

How old is your p4?

Did you update the way I usually do, all over a wif connection?

Msinger after your update did you have to re calibrate anything? Vps, obstacle sensors, compass etc?

You shouldn't have to do any of those calibrations.

Also I didn’t have to update the second battery I tested?

DJI GO will show a prompt like this if the current battery needs to be updated.

I was just surprised that I swapped out the 1st battery for the second and was away straight away. No prompts to update nor for inconsistent firmware etc. Did you have to do battery’s?

Battery firmware is not updated often. When it is updated, the release notes usually mention a battery change (like in the 1.2.601 firmware release). Yes, I have had to update my batteries in the past.

I too have updated lots of batteries wspebaftwr new bird firmware. I was specifically talking about this event update.

Sorry for all the questions.

I'm not sure which firmware version you updated from. If you don't see a message in DJI GO, then, no, the battery firmware does not need to be updated.

Ok, no worries. Sorry. I’ve updated to the very latest available:)
