Red Light Appearing in Camera Lens

I've noticed recently a small red light on in the camera lens of my P3S
when disconnected. Any ideas as to what may be occurring?

The wording of your question is a little confusing to try help (eg there is no small red light in any camera lens - on or off).
When what disconnected from what.
- it's not the camera recording light you are seeing?

It may have been a reflection of some kind. I no longer see it and and aIso checked it in a low light environment.
