RC only flashing Red and No Response

So went to go fly the Drone today after several Months. Updated The drone and thought the remote. Got the message of high interference and kept disconnecting and connecting to Drone. Did some reading and appeared this was a known bug with the latest firmware. Was stated stated to repair the RC and Drone, tried that, manually update the firmware, nothing working. App will not connect to RC tried to do an update through the app. Plugged RC into drone with micro usb and no changes. Hook remote up to PC and no files show on the remote. Will get beeping when left alone for a bit until I move or hit a button. Have had zero issues with this below. Any tricks to getting a firm ware on confirming a firmware with out using the app? able to connect RC to PC and do it that way? Really stuck on this. Appreciate it.

You first said you updated the firmware and were able to successful fly (or at least connect the Phantom to DJI GO) with high interference messages and/or disconnects. So, what exactly did you update the second time? What exactly did you attempt to repair? Please be as detailed as possible.

Flashing red. Rc is not linked to controller. Just link them again.
